- An intact tower house built on a hill overlooking the town of Strangford. Although almost all of the castle corresponds with 16th-century Irish architecture, the tower house's door seems to indicate that the current incarnation of the tower is simply a remodeling of an earlier 15th-century tower house. Strangford was once used as a set for Winterhold in the popular HBO TV series, ''Game of Thrones''.
