Štanjel Castle

Štanjel is a small village located in the Municipality of Komen in the Slovenian Littoral region of Slovenia. Known by its Italian name San Daniele del Carso, the settlement is situated at an elevation of approximately 312 meters in the Coastal-Karst Statistical Region. As of 2002, the village had a population of 340 residents spread across an area of 3.75 square kilometers.
