Scarlino

Scarlino is a historic municipality located in the Province of Grosseto within the Tuscany region of Italy. Situated approximately 100 kilometers southwest of Florence and 25 kilometers northwest of Grosseto, the town rests at an elevation of 229 meters. While often associated with medieval fortifications due to its classification under castles in Italy, Scarlino functions primarily as a communal seat that includes the main town and several surrounding villages, such as Pian d'Alma, Puntone di Scarlino, and Scarlino Scalo.
