Ram Fortress is a historic military structure located in the village of Ram within the municipality of Veliko Gradište, eastern Serbia. Perched on a steep rocky slope along the right bank of the Danube River, it sits directly across from the confluence of the Karaš and Nera rivers. The site commands a strategic view over one of the widest sections of the Danube, which spans approximately five kilometers at this point. Geographically, the fortress is situated within the Ram-Golubac Sand area, a unique landscape that serves as a southern extension of the larger Deliblato Sand region found in Banat.

Constructed in 1483 under the orders of the Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II, the fortress was built using stone to serve as a defensive stronghold. Historically, it is believed to have been erected opposite the now-vanished Haram fortress, which once stood on the other side of the river. Although the text does not specify a distinct architectural style beyond its function as a 15th-century fort, its placement on a rock tilted toward the water highlights its tactical design for river control. The structure has survived centuries with its remains currently described as being in good condition, standing as a testament to the region's complex military past involving Ottoman expansion and Danube defense strategies.

Today, Ram Fortress is owned by the Municipality of Veliko Gradište and is open to the public, serving as a cultural monument and tourist attraction. Despite no longer being used for military purposes, the site invites visitors to explore its well-preserved ruins and enjoy the scenic surroundings of the Danube bend. The area's history is further enriched by the nearby Ram Lake, a former widening of the river altered by the construction of the Iron Gate I hydroelectric plant in the late 1960s. As a protected heritage site, it continues to draw interest from those studying Balkan history or seeking picturesque views of Serbia's riverine landscape.
