Przyszów is a village located in the administrative district of Gmina Bojanów within Stalowa Wola County, in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship of south-eastern Poland. While primarily known today as a small settlement, it holds historical significance as the former site of Przyszów Castle. This medieval royal fortress was constructed in the mid-14th century under the orders of King Casimir the Great, serving as a strategic stronghold during the Piast dynasty. The castle represented typical medieval military architecture of the period, designed to protect the region and assert royal authority in this part of the kingdom.

The structure met a violent end around 1624 when it was destroyed by passing troops, marking the beginning of its long decline into ruin. Over the following century, the remnants were systematically dismantled. By 1752, only two walls of the main building remained standing, and these were subsequently demolished to provide building materials for the construction of a local Capuchin monastery. Today, no visible above-ground structures of the castle survive, and the historical grounds are currently privately owned, rendering the site inaccessible to the general public.

Beyond its architectural history, the village is noted for its local community life, including the now-defunct Klub Sportowy Strażak Przyszów. This football club was established in 2001 and achieved its greatest success by competing in the regional league between 2009 and 2012 before dissolving after the 2018–19 season. Although the castle itself has vanished from the landscape, Przyszów remains a point of interest for historians studying the reign of Casimir the Great and the military conflicts that shaped southern Poland in the early 17th century.
