Pianello Val Tidone

Pianello Val Tidone is a historic municipality situated in the Province of Piacenza within the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. Located approximately 25 kilometers southwest of Piacenza and 160 kilometers northwest of Bologna, the town rests at an elevation of 192 meters. While often referred to colloquially as a castle town due to its prominent fortifications, it is officially a comune that serves as a cultural hub for the surrounding valley. The area is characterized by its strategic position bordering several other municipalities, including Agazzano and Borgonovo Val Tidone, and contains numerous hamlets such as Rocca d'Olgisio and Santa Giustina.
