# Nørre Vosborg

Nørre Vosborg is a historic manor house situated near Vemb, approximately 19 kilometers west of Holstebro in western Jutland, Denmark. The estate's origins trace back to around 1532, with the original structure built in the Gothic style. Over the centuries, the complex expanded significantly through various additions that reflect evolving architectural trends. These include the half-timbered Renaissance residence known as the Ida Lange building from 1642, the Baroque De Linde building constructed in 1770 which features fine period staircases, and the Neoclassical Tang building added in 1839. A distinctive free-standing gate tower inspired by Dutch architecture was also erected in 1790 by owner Peder Tang, adding to the site's diverse visual character.

Following a major restoration initiative that began in 1946 under H.H. Engqvist and was ultimately completed by Realdania in 2008, the property has been transformed for modern use while preserving its historical integrity. Today, Nørre Vosborg operates as a hotel and cultural center, offering conference facilities, a restaurant, a cafe, and banquet halls. The surrounding estate spans 533 acres of varied terrain, including forested areas and a moraine landscape near Skovbjerg Bakkesø. Its location provides unique access to rich birdlife along the coasts of both the North Sea and Nissum Fjord, making it a destination that blends architectural heritage with natural beauty. As a listed building, it stands as a significant example of Danish manor history and adaptive reuse.
