Modliszewice is a village located in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship in south-central Poland, within Gmina Końskie administrative district. The village lies approximately four kilometers west of Końskie and forty kilometers northwest of the regional capital Kielce. As of 2021, Modliszewice had a population of 1,241 residents, though this represented a decline from 1,370 inhabitants recorded in 2016. The village is divided into six sections and is situated in the Końskie County.

The village has deep historical roots, first appearing in documents from the 13th century and later mentioned in Liber Beneficiorum Łaski. During the 15th century, the lands were owned by feudal lord Andrzej Modlyszewski, whose family name likely inspired the village's name, derived from the word for mantis. The most significant historical structure is Modliszewice Manor, a 16th-century fortified manor house built by Andrzej Modlyszewski. The manor subsequently came under the ownership of Bishop Jan Lipski in the 17th century. Though partially destroyed and abandoned during the 19th century, the ruins of this fortified manor remain standing in the village as a testament to its historical importance.

In recent years, the village has received infrastructure improvements, with the government renovating over half a kilometer of roads in 2022 to address deteriorating conditions.
