Kondapalli Fort, locally recognized as Kondapalli Kota or Quilla, is a historic military installation situated in the Ibrahimpatnam mandal of the NTR district in Andhra Pradesh, India. Constructed during the 14th century CE, the fortress was originally commissioned by Prolaya Vema Reddy of the Reddi Kingdom, though some historical accounts attribute its construction to Anna Vema Reddy around 1360 CE following victories over the Mudigonda Chalukyas. Built primarily using local granite stones and lime mortar, the structure reflects the robust architectural styles typical of medieval Indian hill forts designed for both defense and strategic oversight of the surrounding plains.

The fort holds immense historical significance due to its role as a contested stronghold for numerous dynasties over several centuries. After serving the Reddi rulers as a leisure spot and business hub, it witnessed control by the Gajapati Kingdom, the Vijayanagara Empire, the Qutubshahi dynasty, and the Sultans of Golconda. Notably, the site hosted significant battles in the 16th century involving local chieftains and the Bahamanis. During the colonial era, the British utilized the location as a military training base, further embedding it in the region's layered past. The forecourt and palace views remain prominent features that illustrate its former grandeur amidst the rocky terrain.

Currently under the stewardship of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the fort is classified as reconstructed following various conservation efforts aimed at preserving its structural integrity. While the site was once abandoned, recent initiatives have focused on chemical conservation treatments and developing the area into a key tourist destination. Today, it stands as a testament to the volatile history of the Deccan region, offering visitors a glimpse into the military and cultural evolution from the medieval period through British rule to modern heritage preservation.
