Charlottenlund Castle, known locally as Charlottenlunds slott, is a historic residence situated in Ystad Municipality within the Scania region of southern Sweden. Located approximately five miles west of the town of Ystad, the structure was constructed between 1849 and 1850. The building is a notable example of Gothic Revival architecture, distinguished by its design which features an open courtyard surrounded by a gallery. Although classified as a castle, it originated as a manor farm previously known as Snårestad's manor, which was part of the larger Marsvinsholm estate before being subdivided in the mid-nineteenth century.

The historical significance of the site is closely tied to two prominent families. The current main building was commissioned by Count Arvid Posse, who purchased the property in 1848. Decades later, in 1902, the estate was acquired by the Danish-born industrialist Jacob Lachmann and his wife, Clara Lachmann. The couple undertook significant restoration efforts to preserve and enhance the property. Unlike many historic Swedish castles that have been converted into museums or public venues, Charlottenlund remains privately owned by the descendants of the Lachmann family and is not open to the general public. This continuous private ownership has allowed the castle to retain its residential character while preserving its architectural heritage from the nineteenth century.
