Budmerice Mansion is a historic manor house located in the municipality of Budmerice in western Slovakia. Constructed in 1889, this architectural gem was designed by the Viennese architect Franz von Neumann for Ján Pálffy and his wife Elisabeth Schlippenbach. The building was originally intended to serve as a hunting manor for the prominent Pálffy family. Its design features a unique eclectic style that draws significant inspiration from the famous châteaux of France's Loire Valley, making it a rare example of such architecture within Slovakia. The mansion is set amidst an extensive English landscape garden, enhancing its picturesque appeal and historical atmosphere.

The property holds considerable historical significance due to its association with the Pálffy family and its later cultural role. After Ján Pálffy's death in 1934 and the subsequent emigration of his son Pavol in 1945, the estate became state property following the establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic. During the 1950s, the government granted usage rights to the Association of Slovak Writers, who utilized the mansion for writing retreats and literary events for several decades. This period cemented the location's status as a cultural hub until rising costs forced the Association to vacate the premises in 2011.

Following a comprehensive renovation project completed in 2015, parts of the mansion were reopened to the public under the administration of the Slovak Ministry of Culture. Although the text indicates some recent administrative changes regarding public access, the structure remains in good condition today. The site stands as a testament to 19th-century aristocratic life and continues to be a point of interest for those exploring the architectural and literary heritage of the region. Its distinct French-inspired design and lush park grounds make it a notable landmark in the Slovak countryside.
