Bobolice Royal Castle is a historic fortress located in the village of Bobolice within the Silesian Voivodeship of southern Poland. Situated in the semi-mountainous highlands of the Polish Jura, this 14th-century structure was originally commissioned by King Casimir III the Great as part of a strategic defense system protecting Poland's western border near Silesia. Built in the Polish Gothic architectural style, the castle likely replaced an earlier wooden fortification and served as a crucial royal stronghold during the medieval period. Its strategic importance led to various ownership changes, including a grant to Duke Władysław Opolczyk in 1370 and a subsequent military reclamation by King Władysław Jagiełło in 1396 following conflicts with foreign mercenaries stationed there.

Famous tales include the haunting of a lady in white, believed to be a niece imprisoned by a Krezowie family member, and a tragic story of twin brothers from neighboring castles whose friendship ended in murder over a hidden treasure and a forbidden romance within the dungeon vaults.

Today, Bobolice Castle stands as a reconstructed monument that attracts visitors interested in medieval history and folklore. While the original structure faced periods of decay and destruction, modern efforts have restored parts of the complex, allowing the public to explore its residential buildings and gate stronghold. The site continues to preserve the gentle crest of the Dołęga coat of arms above its entrance, serving as a tangible link to its noble past. As both a historical landmark and a center for regional legends, the castle offers a unique glimpse into the defensive architecture and colorful storytelling traditions of the Polish Jura region.
