D'Albertis Castle is a historic residence situated in Genoa, Italy, specifically at Corso Dogali, 18. Constructed between 1886 and 1893 under the supervision of architect Alfredo D'Andrade, the building was commissioned by sea captain Enrico Alberto d'Albertis as his private home. The structure is a prime example of Gothic Revival architecture, designed as an architectural collage that draws inspiration from palaces in Florence and the castles of the Aosta Valley. Uniquely, the castle was erected on the site of a 13th-century fortified area that had been reinforced in the 16th century. The design intentionally incorporated and preserved the original foundations of the ancient bastion and one of its turrets, blending modern 19th-century aesthetics with medieval military history.

The castle holds significant historical value as the first villa-castle built in Genoa and was originally inaugurated to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus's discovery of America. Upon Enrico Alberto d'Albertis's death in 1932, he donated the property to the city of Genoa. Following this donation, the building transitioned from a private residence to a public institution. Today, the castle remains in active use and houses the Museo delle Culture del Mondo, also known as the Museum of World Cultures, which was officially inaugurated in 2004. The museum utilizes the five-story structure to display diverse cultural artifacts, continuing the legacy of exploration associated with its original owner.
