Zamość

Zamość is a historic city located in southeastern Poland within the Lublin Voivodeship, situated approximately 90 kilometers from Lublin and 247 kilometers from Warsaw. Founded in 1580 by Jan Zamoyski, the Grand Chancellor of Poland, the settlement was conceived as an ideal city reflecting Renaissance urban planning principles. The city's layout and architecture were designed to harmonize function with aesthetic beauty, resulting in a unique ensemble that has preserved its original character over the centuries.
