- A State Care Historic Monument located near Newmills, Northern Ireland. Roughan Castle is a Plantation era bawn built by Sir Andrew Stewart, the Second Lord Castlestewart. During the Rebellion of 1641, the castle's current lord, Robert Stewart, was appointed a commander in the Rebel armies by Phelim O'Neill and he was captured here and brought to Dublin to be executed.
