Kavlås Castle

Kavlås Castle, known locally as Kavlås slott, is a historic manor house situated in Hömbs parish within Tidaholm Municipality in Västra Götaland County, Sweden. Although the estate was first mentioned in historical records at the end of the 14th century, the current main building is a much later construction. The property came into the possession of the baronial von Essen family in 1723 through a series of purchases. It was under Fredric Ulric von Essen, who lived from 1721 to 1781, that the substantial three-story residence was erected between 1750 and 1775, establishing the structure that defines the site today.

Architecturally, the castle represents a blend of two distinct Swedish styles from the 18th century.
