Häringe Castle

Häringe Palace, also known as Häringe slott, is a historic former manor house situated in Haninge Municipality within Södermanland, Sweden. Located approximately 35 kilometers south of Stockholm, the estate lies inside the scenic Häringe-Hammersta Nature Reserve. The current main building was constructed under the initiative of Gustav Horn, Count of Pori, and was completed in 1657, the same year of his death. While specific architectural styles are not explicitly detailed in available records, the structure represents a significant example of Swedish manor architecture from the mid-seventeenth century.

The property holds considerable historical significance due to its lineage of prominent owners. Following Gustav Horn, the estate passed to his daughter Agneta Horn and subsequently through generations of the De la Gardie family, including Hedvig Catharina De la Gardie. In 1769, it was acquired by Major General Fabian Löwen. A major transformation occurred in the 1930s when engineer and industrialist Torsten Kreuger renovated and modernized the facility. Today, the castle remains in excellent condition and is open to the public. Since 2017, ownership has rested with businessman Veselin Vesko Mijač, who operates the site as a functioning hotel and conference center, blending its rich heritage with modern hospitality services.
