Givins Beverly Castle

Givins Beverly Castle, also known locally as The Irish Castle, is a unique three-story structure located at the corner of West 103rd Street and Longwood Avenue in the Beverly neighborhood on the far Southwest Side of Chicago, Illinois. Constructed between 1886 and 1887, the building was commissioned by Robert C. Givins, a prominent real estate developer who resided there with his family until 1894. Distinguished by its three crenelated towers, it holds the distinction of being the only building in the entire city of Chicago officially described as a castle. This continuous occupancy has allowed the structure to survive while many other historic homes in the region have been lost to development or decay.
