Dzików Castle, also known as the Tarnowski Family Castle, is a historic residence located in Tarnobrzeg, Poland, set within an expansive park and garden complex. Originally constructed as a fortified residence at the end of the 14th century and completed in the 15th century, the structure has undergone significant transformations throughout its existence. While it initially served as a defensive stronghold for the Ossoliński family before passing to the Tarnowski family in 1522, its architectural identity shifted dramatically over time. The castle was rebuilt in the Gothic Revival style in 1830 by architect Franciszek Maria Lanci. However, following a devastating fire in 1927, it was reconstructed again in 1931 under Wacław Krzyżanowski, adopting the Neobaroque style that defines its current appearance.

The site holds profound historical significance as the gathering place for the Dzików Confederation on November 5, 1734. Led by Adam Tarło, this political alliance aimed to reinstate Stanisław Leszczyński as the King of Poland following the death of August II the Strong. Although the confederation ultimately failed due to a lack of international support and superior opposing forces, the event remains a pivotal moment in Polish political history. The castle also housed an impressive art collection acquired by the Tarnowski family over centuries, including notable works such as Lorenzo Lotto's "The Adoration of the Child."

After suffering damage during the Napoleonic wars in 1809 and the aforementioned fire in 1927, the property changed ownership following World War II. Since 1945, the castle has been owned by the State Treasury. Today, it stands as a testament to the region's turbulent past and architectural evolution, surviving multiple destructions to remain a landmark in Tarnobrzeg.
