Delta Bessborough

The Delta Hotels Bessborough is a historic hotel located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, in the city's Central Business District. Originally known as the Bessborough, the hotel opened on December 10, 1935, and was developed by the Canadian National Railway as part of their grand railway hotel collection. The building was designed by the architectural firm Archibald and Schofield in the Châteauesque style, a sophisticated architectural approach befitting its era. Standing 58.5 meters tall with 10 floors and 225 rooms, the hotel was the tallest building in Saskatoon from its completion until 1966, when the Marquis Tower surpassed it. The building was named after Vere Ponsonby, the 9th Earl of Bessborough.

Today, the Delta Bessborough operates as a modern hotel managed by Delta Hotels, a brand of Marriott International, though it is owned by Leadon Investment Inc. The property features three restaurants and maintains its position as a significant landmark in Saskatoon's downtown core. Located at 601 Spadina Crescent East, the hotel sits on a distinctive site bounded by the South Saskatchewan River to the east and Kiwanis Park to the north and south. Its architectural and historical importance is reflected in its status as one of Canada's grand railway hotels, continuing to serve as a prominent accommodation and cultural landmark in the city.
