Castrocaro Terme e Terra del Sole is a municipality located in the Province of Forlì-Cesena within the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. Situated approximately sixty kilometers southeast of Bologna and ten kilometers southwest of Forlì, the commune comprises three distinct towns: Castrocaro Terme, which serves as the municipal seat, Pieve Salutare, and the historic Terra del Sole. The area lies at an elevation of 68 meters and covers a total surface area of nearly 39 square kilometers. This strategic location in northern Italy places it near several other notable municipalities, including Brisighella, Dovadola, and Predappio.

The historical significance of the area is anchored by Terra del Sole, a town founded in the 16th century as a fortress under the direction of Cosimo I de' Medici. Historians believe this settlement occupies the site of Solona, an ancient city that provided the name for the modern town, translating to Land of the Sun.
